Dreams and Goals
“Only those who will risk going too far can possibly find out how far one can go.”
~ T. S. Eliot
Operating within the safe zone, or close enough to it to provide little stretch, is not conducive to expansion. Setting goals and dreams where you know they are attainable is merely an exercise in mediocrity. Sure, it is comfortable knowing you will be successful, but you miss out on so much. Is comfortable what you are looking for?
Set your dreams high – set them within the realm of “impossible” and then go for them with complete abandon. Feel the thrill of pushing through the fear and doubt. Let your heart pound with every uncertain step you take – this is what lets you know you are alive! Revel in the ecstasy of accomplishing what “cannot be done”. Unless you are willing to try, you will never know that you can.
Are you playing it too safe? Are you compromising your dreams for the sake of comfort?
