“The Past: Our cradle, not our prison; there is danger as well as appeal in its glamour. The past is for inspiration, not imitation, for continuation, not repetition.”
~ Israel Zangwill
Where you have been and what you have done in your life serve to feed the desire for expansion…for growth beyond what was and what is. The past does not determine where we can go or what we can do. What we have done in the past need not continue in our lives.
We are all more comfortable in situations we are familiar with, and there is temptation to stay within that comfort zone.
Use the past to determine what you want to keep in your life, but let it inspire you to change the things you no longer want, or things you want to improve. Let your past bring you to this moment, and then move beyond toward the life you dream of.
What things in your life has past experience taught you to value? What changes does your past inspire you to achieve?
