"Mind is consciousness which has put on limitations. You are originally unlimited and perfect. Later you take on limitations and become the mind."
~ Ramana Maharshi
Do you have everything you want in your life? Do things come easily to you soon after you decide you would like to have them as a part of your life? Does your life flow smoothly? Does your life present exciting opportunities every day?
If your answer to any of these questions is “No,” my question to you is, “Why Not?” Why don’t you have what you would like? Why doesn’t your life flow smoothly in the way that you want?
In answer to these questions, I often get answers like, “That’s just the way life is.”, “I didn’t have the right breaks.”, “I’m too old.”, “I’m too young.”, “I don’t have the right education.”, etc., etc.
Sorry to burst your bubble of non-responsibility, but this type of thinking is you trying to blame your life on circumstances, people, and events outside of yourself. Let’s get real…you are responsible for everything in your life, and you have to stop blaming anything but yourself for your life.
You limit yourself through your beliefs. When you think something is impossible, it is. If somebody else thinks the exact same thing is possible, it is. There are actually absolutely no limits to what is possible in your life. Your belief system can be altered and changed and morphed into something that is completely different than what you are currently experiencing. All you need do is decide and truly intend to change your beliefs.
What is it that holds us back from changing our beliefs? What is it that keeps us limiting ourselves? Why do we choose to accept “status quo” or improvements to our lives that include only small increments? I suggest that it is fear.
Fear is one of the harshest monsters that we ever face. It comes in many forms – fear of failure – fear of success – fear of the unknown – fear of the known – fear of discovering that we are truly unlimited…
Fear can be a paralyzing force, yet it really means nothing. Fear is merely misunderstanding the true nature of the Universe. When we choose to see things from the broader perspective of our higher self…from the perspective of Source…we understand and accept ourselves as perfect and unbounded.
I encourage you to try to change your perspective. Look at your world and your life from the broadest perspective you can muster, and choose to keep expanding that perspective. Although you may not be able to see from the perspective of source, you will start to understand your true nature, and you will start to limit yourself less and less. As you expand your perspective, the next expansion becomes more evident…at least within your sight. You will grow. You will accept. You will grow some more.
I truly wish this expansion of perspective and experience for everyone. It will happen when you are finished your journey on this physical plane, but it need not take that long. I wish you to experience as much of it here and now as you can. The acceptance of your limitless nature and the journey toward your expansion into it is what will show you the true happiness that is meant for your life.
Keep expanding. Let the community know about your journey. Let us know how you feel about being unlimited. Let us know if you even accept the premise that I have put forth here. Leave a comment to share and engage with your fellow community members. We’re listening.
